Does posting less often on LinkedIn hurt visibility?

Some experts say you should post daily on LinkedIn to stay relevant, but honestly, I don’t always have enough content to share that often. I’d rather focus on a couple of strong posts per month. Will the algorithm penalize me for not being active every day, or is this just a myth?

Posting daily isn’t necessary if the quality of your posts is strong. Engagement rates often show that meaningful discussions bring more visibility than frequent but low-value updates.

LinkedIn’s algorithm rewards engagement more than just activity. Even if you post less often, as long as your content sparks conversation and resonates with your audience, it will still be shown to more people. I’ve seen accounts grow steadily with only 2-3 posts per month because each one created value. The trick is to publish content that makes people stop, think, and comment. Here’s a resourceful post worth looking at
www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7360705344219623424. It shows that consistent quality wins over frequency. Instead of pushing yourself to post daily, focus on crafting posts that build trust and spark conversations, since those interactions expand your reach naturally.
